Privacy Policy

This policy explains what information QuizWho (“we”) processes when you use this website. The short version: you don't need an account, we don't ask for your name or email, and your share card is created on your own device.

Quiz answers and results

Your answers are scored in your browser. When you finish a quiz, we may record an anonymous tally of which result you received (for example, “+1 for character X in quiz Y”) so we can show what percentage of players got each result. We do not store your individual answers alongside any identifier.

Share cards

Result cards are generated locally in your browser. The image is not uploaded to our servers unless you choose to share it through another app.

Embedded videos (YouTube)

Some quiz pages show an official trailer hosted on YouTube, a service of Google. Until you press play, we only show a preview image, which your browser loads from YouTube's image server (i.ytimg.com); like any image request, this shares technical data such as your IP address and browser type with Google. The video player itself is not loaded until you click it. When you do, it is embedded in YouTube's privacy-enhanced mode (youtube-nocookie.com), and YouTube may then set cookies or use similar storage on your device and collect information about how you watch the video under Google's Privacy Policy. If you prefer, use the “Watch on YouTube” link instead, or skip the video entirely. The quiz works the same either way.

Browser storage

We use your browser's session storage to remember your latest result during your visit. It is cleared when you close the tab.

Hosting logs

Like most websites, our hosting provider may automatically log technical data such as IP address, browser type and pages requested, for security and reliability.

Advertising and analytics

We may show ads in the future, for example through Google AdSense. If we do, third-party vendors, including Google, may use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites. We will update this policy, and show any required consent choices, before such services are enabled. You can learn more about how Google uses data at policies.google.com.

Children

QuizWho is a general-audience entertainment site and is not directed to children under 13.

We may update this policy from time to time. The date above shows the latest revision. A contact address will be listed here at launch.
